Two separate professional capacities
Alice Wilton Consulting (Pty) Ltd is an independent business advisory, governance, regulatory compliance and management consulting company registered in the Republic of South Africa.
The company provides specialised consulting and administrative support services to public institutions, municipalities, private enterprises, non-profit organisations and individuals.
The company’s director, Adv. Alice Lorenzo Ruth Wilton, is an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Adv. Wilton’s professional status as an advocate is separate and distinct from the legal identity and commercial activities of Alice Wilton Consulting (Pty) Ltd.
The company does not hold itself out as a legal practice or as an entity independently authorised to provide legal services reserved for practising legal practitioners under the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014.

Wilton in her professional capacity as a practising advocate, subject to the Legal Practice Act, the applicable Legal Practice Council Rules and Code of Conduct, and the requirements governing the acceptance of professional instructions.
All advocacy mandates, professional fees and related arrangements are dealt with separately from the consulting company’s commercial engagements.
The consultancy’s services and any professional advocacy services remain subject to applicable conflict-of-interest requirements and the overriding professional duties owed by legal practitioners to the courts, their clients and the administration of justice.

A few honest answers before you send that first message.
You send a short message using the form below, WhatsApp, or a call. Adv. Wilton reviews it personally and replies to arrange a no-obligation conversation about what you need and whether it's a fit — no sales team, no call centre.
Yes. Most engagements are conducted remotely by design — documents, calls and virtual meetings — with in-person sessions arranged where useful.
Not at all. The service list looks the same whether the client is a national department or a five-person non-profit — scope and cost are simply matched to the size of the organisation.
It depends on the engagement — some work suits a fixed project fee, other work an hourly or retainer basis. This is discussed and agreed upfront, in writing, before anything begins.
No. The company is a consultancy and does not provide litigation or court representation. Those services are offered separately by Adv. Wilton in her personal professional capacity as an advocate, briefed in the manner the Legal Practice Act permits, and are contracted and invoiced separately from the company.
